Your information
Privacy Notice
Effective August 21, 2026 · Version 2026-08-21
Wisely needs some personal information to run your account. This notice tells you what we collect, why we need it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. Who handles your data
The Wisely Team operates this website and is responsible for the personal data processed through it. Privacy questions may be sent to itsteamwisely@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
- Account details: name, username, email address, password hash, verification status, and theme.
- Finance records: wallets, transactions, categories, budgets, goals, recurring schedules, planned items, debts, receivables, and notes you enter.
- Security records: sign-in activity, one-time-code records, trusted-device tokens, and remembered-login tokens.
- Technical information: the essential cookies and local browser preferences needed to keep you signed in and remember display choices.
3. Receipt scanner
The receipt image is read inside your browser using files hosted by Wisely. The scanner does not upload or save the selected image. Only the transaction details you review and submit are stored.
4. Why we use the data
- To create and secure your account.
- To save the finance records and settings you ask us to keep.
- To calculate balances, budgets, reports, reminders, recurring items, and your in-app notification preferences.
- To send verification, sign-in, and password-reset codes.
- To investigate errors, misuse, and security incidents.
We limit collection and use to these stated purposes.
5. Who may process it
Authorized members of the Wisely Team may access data when support, maintenance, or security work requires it. Our website host stores the application and database. Our email delivery provider receives the email address and message details needed to send account codes.
We do not sell personal data or use finance records for advertising.
6. Cookies and browser storage
Wisely uses essential cookies for sessions, remembered sign-ins, trusted devices, and security. It also uses local browser storage for interface choices such as privacy display mode. Blocking essential cookies may stop sign-in from working.
Wisely does not currently use advertising cookies.
7. How long we keep it
Account and finance data remain while the account is active. Expired sign-in codes and device records are kept only as needed for security and maintenance. If an account is deleted, its active records are removed. Temporary backup copies may remain until the normal backup cycle replaces them.
8. How we protect it
Wisely uses password hashing, email verification, sign-in codes, session controls, and limited administrative access. No online system is risk-free, so use a unique password and report suspicious activity promptly.
9. Your choices and rights
Signed-in users can download a portable copy of their account data or permanently delete their account from Settings. You may also ask to access, correct, export, object to certain processing, or request deletion by emailing itsteamwisely@gmail.com from your registered address. We may verify your identity before acting.
You may also raise a concern with the Philippine National Privacy Commission. Information about your rights is available at privacy.gov.ph.
10. Changes to this notice
When an important privacy practice changes, we will update the version and inform affected users. A new purpose that requires consent will not be applied without asking first.
